My blog did that recently. Your main problem is not keeping your audience interested. It is keeping yourself interested. The blog marches on if you keep writing, regardless of your audience. Don't worry about making your blog interesting or helpful to others. Only concern yourself with making it interesting and helpful to yourself. If it accomplishes that, it will be more relevant to the public than anything targeted at them. Unless you are a very boring person.
