A beginner’s Guide On How To Create A Blog- Installing A beautiful Wordpress Theme

I cannot beleive why some of the blogs in Blogosphere looks really boring and ugly when they can very easily install a beautiful theme and spice it up. The only answers I can think of is either they do not know how to install a quality wordpress theme or they do not know where to find the best designs.
This post will give answers to both the questions so your blog will get a real pro look from the very beginning.

Your blog can get the look of any of the previews given here. Get the feeling of the theme by clicking the ” Demo” link. If you like the theme you can download it and later in this article I will give you step by step instructions on how to install it.

But if you have $87 to spare I strongly advice you to use Thesis from the beginning. How To install a theme for your blog.
1. Download the theme zip file to your desktop.
2. Extract it using winzip or winrar.
3. Upload the extracted folder to your themes directory using ftp.
public_html -> wp-content -> themes
You can very easily handle FTP using Filezila.
4. Once you successfully uploaded a theme folder to your themes directory, it will appear on your wordpress admin panel.
Appearance -> Themes
Or in old wordpress versions it is Design -> Themes
You can just click on the theme you want to apply and select ” Activate”. Not too hard is it?

Some really nice themes you have found, is the theme for this site built on a free theme or is it fully custom made?
Most of my sites are based on free themes with slight modifications.

Thanks for the informative post. Thesis is one of my favorite themes, because it is very versatile and fairly easy to use. I also like Affiliate Theme (I think the same folks who made Thesis made that one) and FLexx Theme.
Blogger’s Workshop uses Flexx Theme, so I guess I’d have to say that one’s my favorite. It’s a bit pricey… but if you’re going to create multiple money making blogs, it’s worth the investment, I think.
Theme which you have shown in this posts of yours are free or premier ones. As they are really great.
As your posts is related with internet than I think you should also use Sphinn. Believe me this can give you good traffic.

Seems to me that I have got something which I can use for my future blogs. Certainly these kind of looks of theme is making me crazy and I want to build a blog with these themes.

There has been some amazing development work with WordPress themes over the last couple of years. The new magazine-style themes are just the tip of the iceberg. I’m excited to see what will be released over the next year. With so many great themes, it’s hard to stick with one for more than a year before you get a “wandering eye.”
